Partnering with Marks Point Post Office to Deliver a Safe Community Event

We were proud to partner with the Marks Point Post Office and Marks Point School P&C to help deliver the Marks Point Community Christmas Market, hosted on local school grounds and designed to bring the community together in a safe and welcoming environment.

From the outset, our role focused on event planning and site management. We worked closely with the event organiser to design the market layout and site map, ensuring the space was used effectively while prioritising safety, accessibility and customer flow.

Holding the event on school grounds required additional planning and care. Particular attention was given to the safety of children during the setup phase, with clearly defined zones, controlled access points and an organised stallholder bump-in process. These measures helped minimise risk while ensuring the event could be set up efficiently.

The market layout was designed with the size of the event, expected attendance and weather conditions in mind. Stall placement encouraged steady customer movement throughout the site, reducing congestion and supporting equal exposure for stallholders. Entry and exit points were clearly identified to improve accessibility for families, prams and community members of all abilities.

Entertainment and music were strategically positioned to enhance the atmosphere of the market without disrupting stallholders or impacting nearby school facilities. This ensured a vibrant yet well-balanced event environment.

Safety management was a key component of the event delivery. All stallholders were required to check in via the Services app, and structures were securely weighted to meet safety and weather requirements. These proactive measures helped ensure compliance and provided confidence for organisers, stallholders and attendees alike.

Through close collaboration with event organiser, the Marks Point Community Christmas Market was successfully delivered as a well-organised, safe and enjoyable community event. The outcome was a positive experience for stallholders, visitors and the wider local community, reinforcing the value of strong partnerships and thoughtful event planning.
